In fact, it may be due to the air quality in your home. If you have pets, live in a high dust environment or if your home garden has high pollen count during certain seasons then you may want to consider the indoor air quality and how to improve it. One way to improve the quality is by using houseplants. It turns out that houseplants, large and small, can improve the quality of air throughout the entire living space. Here are three plants that are known for their air quality benefits.

Dracaena

The Dracaena plant is green, leafy, beautiful and easy to take care of. If you have an area of your home that has proper sunlight, offers an indirect sun filled area and you can maintain the task of watering and misting a plant daily then this plant is for you. The plant thrives well in any room of the home as long as it gets sunlight, indirectly, and water.

Lady Palm

The Lady Palm is a fan palm style plant. It can grow very well indoors and can vastly increase the air quality in small rooms. These plants are easy to repot when they hit a growth spurt. Maintaining a Lady Palm is also exceedingly easy. A bright corner of a room that is warm and receives indirect sunlight is the perfect spot for these plants. Water the plants lightly each day and mist them throughout the day to keep them looking beautiful and providing air quality control for your home.

Ficus Plants

Ficus plants are common to most home decor plans. The problem is that many people tend to decorate using these plants in the fake or silk variety. Instead of purchasing a silk ficus tree and throwing lights on it to brighten an area try purchasing a real ficus plant. They take very little work and they will brighten your room by offering a higher quality of air for your family. As with the other plants mentioned in this article, the best way to maintain the ficus is to keep it out of direct sunlight and to water or mist the plant daily. Place several ficus plants throughout the home for an upscale home decor touch and higher air quality percentage.
