Ahold USA was founded in 1977, under the name Ahold USA Holdings, but changed its name to Ahold USA in 2005. Ahold USA specializes in grocery food and retail, and offers brands like Peapod, Stop & Shop, Giant Food, Giant Food Stores, and Martin’s Food Markets. They hold many retail chains of grocery and supermarkets, but also offer online shopping and grocery delivery services for certain brands within their corporation. In addition to grocery chains, they also have gas stations and pharmacies to supplement these super markets.
